An OCR basically uses image processing techniques to recognize and
clarifies scanned text and converts scanned BMP or PCX images into
organized characters which can be edited in any text editor and word
processors. OCRs help avoid manual entry of printed text thus improving
productivity and reducing human error etc.

as they are richer in the patterns and the methods of combining
